Plant Kingdom
Is this a Monocot or Dicot?

The above picture is a dicot.

Angiosperm

Humans have claimed to live in the age of enlightenment and the age of technology. Sorry guys the only age we have actually is the age of the angiosperm. The angiosperms are the flowering plants. The angiosperm has basically taking over the plant kingdom because of the climate and 2 adaptations:

1. Animal pollination- Animals, mostly insects, pollinate the plants

2. Seed Dispersal- Animals, being with birds, eat the fruit then poop the seeds out.Fruit, as we’ve known since 7th grade, is a mature ovary in which fertilization and development has occurred.

Also Angiosperms

– are heteroporus and thus make megaspores and microspores

– have their gametophytes protected in the ovules of the flower.

– spend a majority of their time in 2n diploid sporophytic generation

Lastly Angiosperms are divided into 2 classes

1.Monocotyledonae-Monocot

2.Dicotyledone-Dicot

Do how do you which is which?
